Bangkok has an agenda. It does not yet have an agreement.

The IMF and World Bank are meeting October 12–18. Public discussion, committee business and the plenary occupy different dates—and produce different kinds of evidence.

The IMF and World Bank Group’s independently published schedules place their 2026 Annual Meetings in Bangkok from October 12 through 18. The World Bank lists a private-capital-for-jobs flagship event for October 14, the Development Committee for October 15, the annual plenary for October 16 and the IMFC plenary for October 17.

The IMF schedule separately lists a Fiscal Monitor press briefing on October 14 and public sessions on taxation, public-finance technology and fraud resilience. The programs reveal the institutions’ chosen questions; they do not establish the answers adopted by governments.

There are two access layers. The World Bank lists both public programming and invitation-only events. Its streaming service says public events can be watched without registration. Access to a broadcast is therefore not the same thing as access to the decision-making room.

The practical distinction is between an agenda, a statement and an agreement. A scheduled panel proves that a subject has been placed before an audience. A committee document can establish a formal position. This filing records the current timetable and access rules, not unobserved conclusions. The World Bank labels its schedule subject to change.
